So knowing where our stones come from, where they are mined and who mines them, we make sure ALL stones are ethically sourced and that we have created a "win-win", long-term relationship, that is sustainable and workable for miner and us.
We buy mostly from small scale, artisan miners who with decades of business with them, know them all personally and make sure a good portion of the proceeds of mining and sales are plugged back into the community and areas where the miners live, to assist with schools, medical clinics, women empowerment groups, continuous education programs, as well as orphans and social development programs. We make sure mining is done with minimal impact to the environment, so that when mining is over, the earth is covered up and used for farming. We have in the past, shown small miner groups how to be structured and how to obtain finance from the government as well as government mining support to them. We offer technical support as well as market info which helps miners grade their goods at the mine before coming to us.
