Photos are of the exact item you are buying, taken in either normal room lighting or under 5300-5500 KELVIN specialist lighting systems and any additional lighting systems that we see fir to display the stones color.
We use color corrected screens and top level photographic equipment to make sure that the color is almost exact.
We do not take photos in direct sunlight as it is not a proper representation of the stone, for the simple reason that depending on the time of day the temperature of the light varies. Which means a photo taken in the morning will be more Blue and bring and emphasize the Blues while a photo taken in the evening will emphasize and often exaggerate the Reds.
We can, although, on request, take photos for you in indirect or direct Sunlight, if required.
We have been taking photos of stones for many years probably in excess of 2,000,000 photos since 2002.
Some Top Gem Labs use our photos for their study material and photos in their coursework.
